Switzerland’s largest city, with 367,000 inhabitants, lies at the northern end of Lake Zurich. The Limmat and Sihl rivers flow through the city. Zurich, home to FC Zurich andGrasshopper-Club, is famous as a global banking and financial centre and for Europe’s best known shopping street, Bahnhofstrasse. A wide range of cultural activities, lively nightlife and numerous events also make Zurich an exciting, funloving city. Three group matches will be played in the newly constructed Letzigrund stadium (completion date: September 2007). Stadium capacity: 30,000.
